Rethymno Rocks! #6 welcomes MEMFIS from Thessaloniki, for their long-awaited debut show on Cretan soil! Formed in 2013 by experienced musicians in the extreme genre (Psycho Choke, Vain Velocity, Less Than Human, Nature’s), MEMPHIS experiment and tread new paths and uncharted territories . Groovy rhythms, Alternative Rock/Metal aesthetics,  Ethnic elements and Greek lyrics shape the special and distinctive character of the band, forming a harsh sound combined with softer melodies, tied together with a darkly sweet feeling triggered by their bitter lyrical context. Without strictly limiting themselves to any specific musical genre and foregrounding the sense of freedom and creation of something original and authentic, MEMPHIS stand as one of the highly original and powerful acts in the Greek independent Rock scene.
